Within this 1930’s house we created a luxurious kitchen diner with a pure glass extension to the rear and new bedrrom above.
The client was keen to create a spacious, bright feel to an area of the house that was north facing and previously quite dark.
We created two flank walls to frame the view of the garden and, to provide privacy from next door, the glass was strung between them.
We endeavoured to dissolve the boundary between interoir and exterior, and the client loves the feeling that she is outside all year round.
The glass has brought the space to life and changing light levels outside create interesting and ever-changing backdrops, complimented at night bt the installation of variable lighting effects.
