What value can a feasibility study add to my project?
At AR Design Studio we are driven by a passion to push boundaries and unlock potential.
Our purpose is to craft spaces that exceed our clients' expectations by challenging conventional thinking to deliver exceptional results. We see each project as an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the environment and the lives of those who inhabit our buildings.
Our approach is rooted in a meticulous and collaborative process to ensure every project is methodically planned and executed. For clients with a clear brief and site, we provide a streamlined process that moves efficiently from concept to completion.
For those unsure of where to start or how to articulate their vision, we offer feasibility studies that explore the potential of a project with minimal initial investment. This helps clients gain clarity and confidence in their project's viability, whether they are beginning a new endeavor or considering a property purchase.
Our award-winning projects are fuelled by the pursuit of possibility. Here’s how we approach this process:
1) Establish your brief:
Demolish and rebuild? Can I avoid demolition and achieve what I need via extending? How many bedrooms, size of living/kitchen space, ancillary spaces etc. Sketch plans can indicate the possibilities, from which a specific, realistic brief can be defined with our clients. Architects need this brief to ensure their scope reflects this and delivers on these expectations.
2) Uncover unseen opportunities
Engaging with an experienced architect will offer you a professional perspective with creative flair. Identifying opportunities to unlock a space’s potential comes as second nature to AR Design Studio and is key to bringing the wow-factor to any project.
3) Establish constraints (legal or regulatory limitations)
Are there any planning or site constraints which may dictate the scale, height or massing of a proposal? These are best established as soon as possible to ensure the design is thoroughly considered. A well-presented scheme that is considerate of its constraints will always be seen more positively by planning authorities.
4) Manage cost expectations
Aligning brief and budget is crucial for a successful project. For those who have no idea of what to spend but have a refined brief, or alternatively have no idea of what is possible within a certain budget, this process provides clarity. If over-capitalisation of a property is also a concern, an assessment can be made for what is possible within these constraints.
Undertaking a feasibility study offers our clients the confidence to pursue the process.
