This 4 bed villa takes inspiration from modern skyscraper designs, with a solid concrete core housing the mechanics of the house, surrounded by a lightweight frame, a timber screening system and extensive glass providing a seamless transition between inside and out.

Designed by AR Design Studio an award-winning RIBA certified contemporary architectural practice, based in Winchester, Hampshire, specialising in elegant modern new homes, extensions, renovations and multi-plot developments.

This four bed villa takes inspiration from modern skyscraper designs, with a solid concrete core housing the mechanics of the house, surrounded by a lightweight frame, a timber screening system and extensive glass providing a seamless transition between inside and out.

The result, an uncluttered living and sleeping space. A strong contrast is intended between the core and the outer skin and this is accentuated in both material and viscosity. Tin punctures in the core further serve to reinforce this concept.

The roof takes the form of a “V”, provoking a sense of flight, as if, like the swans that inhabit the surrounding lakes, it is gliding into land on its watery abode.
