The Retreat is a spectacular new events and hospitality venue within a Grade II Listed farmstead in Hampshire. The proposal renovates the derelict farm buildings, saving the valuable historic fabric, so once again the 19th century buildings are available for use.

AR Design Studio has designed a spectacular new events and hospitality venue within a Grade II Listed farmstead in Hampshire. The proposal renovates the derelict farm buildings, saving the valuable historic fabric, so once again the 19th century buildings are available for use. The design includes a combination of accommodation, conference, and leisure facilities which would overlook the stunning natural beauty of the farm countryside. A contemporary pavilion is centrepiece, clad in weathered steel it would naturally rust to form its own protective coat and create a textural, quality aesthetic that relates to the historic industrial use of the site.
