Normanhurst Estate
AR Design Studio's masterplan for The Normanhurst Estate envisions a transformative, car-free retreat featuring a collection of 220 eco-friendly cabins. These cabins offer a range of one to five-bedroom units, ensuring a diverse and personalized experience for guests.
Nestled in the gardens of the now demolished stately home, these cabins seamlessly integrate within the site's dense woodland, open grassland and freshwater lakes. This setting provided a perfect opportunity for sensitive and landscape led development to create a truly memorable and relaxing place to get away from it all.
Guests can enjoy exclusive amenities such as a spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, tennis courts, mountain biking trails, art studios, child care facilities, and an organic farm shop stocked by local suppliers. Addition of an outdoor theatre capable of hosting 750 people, will not only cater to guests but will also be open to the general public, enriching the cultural tapestry of the surrounding area. To enhance the overall experience and minimize the environmental footprint, guests will be chauffeured around the estate by electric buggies, cementing the environmental approach and allowing for a truly immersive connection with nature.
Beyond the confines of the retreat, AR Design Studio's proposal aims to give back to the local community. In addition to generating employment opportunities, the project includes the creation of a new park and sports fields, contributing to the overall well-being and recreational needs of the community.
With a commitment to sustainability, landscape integration, and community enrichment, The Normanhurst Estate is poised to become a truly memorable and relaxing haven, inviting guests to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life in a harmonious and eco-conscious environment.
